Frisco Colorado and Dillon are the only two towns with mountain real estate near or along the shores of Lake Dillon and many decide to purchase their Dillon condo or Frisco home due to their close proximity to the high mountain lake where there is limited Summit County property for private use. Dillon CO is similar to Frisco in that during the summer water activities take center stage from the world's highest marinas while the town's central location makes it an ideal place for a group to base their winter activities from for skiing at Summit County’s world class resorts.

In the beginning the town of Dillon was located where the Ten Mile Creek that flows from Frisco and the Snake River that flows from Keystone and the Blue River that flows from Breckenridge all meet. Then it was a ranching town and before that the town of Dillon was a Mountain Man camp – not too different from Frisco in the beginning. Today Dillon is a town high in the Central Colorado Mountains with unique (really spectacular) views, sought after Summit County Real Estate and a hub of its own being so close to other resort towns like Frisco, Keystone, Breckenridge, Silverthorne and Copper Mountain.

Dillon Colorado is a great location within Summit County and a resort destination in itself. But lets not forget that this area, Summit County Colorado has so many areas of interest that are all in high demand by visitors as well as those hoping to one day own their very own piece of the county’s real estate in the way of a home, condo or townhome. The town of Dillon is perfect for Summer visitors where one can enjoy activities on Lake Dillon such as sailing and boating or take advantage of the local bike path along the lake that winds through local real estate, along the lake all the way to Frisco Colorado and more…besides the various activities, bike paths located between Dillon's resort real estate and the Lake, farmer's markets, sailing regattas Dillon also offers solitude with peace and quiet coupled with tremendous views.

In the winter Dillon offers a very convenient location where visitors and locals can find easy access to any of Summit County's world class ski resorts, Cross County ski centers, snowshoeing trail heads, dinning and shopping. Of course, the town of Dillon has its own special charm with shops, restaurants, many pocket parks and historic buildings; coupled with spectacular scenic views in all direction.
